New heparinic derivatives having anticalculous activity, devoid of the anticoagulant and antithrombotic activity characteristic of the heparins obtained by treating, commercial or purified or low molecular weight heparins in a basic medium, optionally in the presence of alkali metal salts and of a reducing agent. The heparinic derivatives obtained through this treatment show peculiar chemical-physical characteristics in, particular they present a 13C-NMR spectrum different from that of the starting haparins especially in the zone comprised between 102 and 92 p.p.m. with the presence of a characteristic signal at 101.3 p.p.m. a specific rotatory power at 546 nm comprised between about +15° …

Why it's free to use
- Filed January 11, 1990 and granted May 14, 1996. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended January 11, 2010.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by January 11, 2012.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
