A method of setting electronic circuits within an electronic device such as a radio telephone in which one or more parameters of the circuit are checked in turn. The resulting output from a parameter under check is compared with a desired standard and if necessary an adjusting data signal is supplied to the circuit to alter its output towards the desired standard and the output rechecked. once the output matches the desired standard the adjusting data signal is stored by the circuit. This check is continued through all of the parameters to be checked in turn.
