Abstract From the Canadian patent

Abstract of the Disclosure, A donor element for thermal transfer comprising a support having on one side thereof a fluorescent derivative of a 1.8-naphthalimide compound dispersed in a polymeric binder and on the, other side thereof a slipping layer comprising a lubricant. In a preferred embodiment, the compound has the formula:, wherein: R is hydrogen; a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group of 1 to about 6 carbon atoms; or a carbocyclic or, heterocyclic ring of about 5 to about 10 atoms; and, D is a monovalent, nonionic nonquenching, moiety.
