The present invention relates to a process for the solvent-induced crystallization of amorphous poly(etheretherketone)-type polymer to produce an article, which process comprises contacting a preformed article of a polymer comprising amorphous poly(etheretherketone)-type polymer with at least one organic compound its liquid state which comprises atoms of carbon and hydrogen and has a molecular weight of between 160 and 320 daltons at a temperature of between 85°C and 145°C for a time effective to crystallize the poly(etheretherketone)-type polymer. This process requires a much lower temperature than those necessary to prepare crystallized polymers by thermal annealing procedures. The …

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 24, 1989. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 24, 2009.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 24, 2011.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
