The method of analysing a polyphase fluid flowing through a pipe is distinctive in that it comprises the following steps: - the flow is diverted to a catch basin for the time required to fill it - when the catch basin is full, flow is restored in the said pipe the fluid in the basin is decanted, until the different phases comprising the fluid are separated - a parameter representative of the volume of at least one phase is determined by measuring a characteristic sensitive to the variation in composition of at least two phases of the fluid and - a macroscopic parameter indicating the quality of the fluid as a whole is monitored while the catch basin is filling and before and/or after the …

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 23, 1989 and granted March 23, 1999. A Canadian patent filed from October 1, 1989 lasts 20 years from filing, so its term ended November 23, 2009.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 23, 2011.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
