In a method of measurement of BOD value of test solution by comparing dissolved oxygen decrement .DELTA.DO of the test solution with dissolved oxygen decrement of standard solution sterilized test solution is used as the standard solution. Apparatus for conducting the above method is also disclosed. BOD value is calculated using the measured .DELTA.DO by a relation between 1/BOD and 1/.DELTA.DO. The apparatus comprises a column for contacting solution with the microorganism, oxygen electrodes disposed before and after the column for measuring the dissolved oxygen value, whereby in an inject condition the test, solution is fed to the oxygen electrode before the column and in the lead …

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 17, 1989. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 17, 2009.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 17, 2011.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
