A shelf assembly is provided for storing documents such as compact disks, cassette tapes and other recorded data. The shelf assembly includes four shelves extending radially from a central, horizontal axis. A retainer plate is pivotally-connected along the longitudinal edge of each shelf. As the shelf assembly is rotated about the central horizontal axis, the retainer plate prevents the documents from falling off the shelf.

Why it's free to use
- Filed November 15, 1989. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 15, 2009.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 15, 2011.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
