Abstract From the Canadian patent

Novel poly(aryl ether/thioether)-polyester block copolymers are prepared by reacting a polyester with a poly(aryl ether/thioether) having at least one electron-withdrawing group located in a position ortho or para to its ether/thioether linking group in the, presence of an exchange catalyst. The copolymers of the present invention exhibit high temperature stability and excellent thermoplastic engineering properties as well, as superior solvent resistance making them particularly, suited for producing molded plastic components for the automotive and eletrical housings markets. 37,080-F

Why it's free to use

  • Filed November 2, 1989. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended November 2, 2009.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by November 2, 2011.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
