Abstract From the Canadian patent

A shower curtain has a plurality of suction cups provided near the outer edges of the curtain. The suction cups may be temporarily attached to a shower stall thus effecting a temporary water-tight seal. To inhibit the lower edge of the curtain from separating from the shower stall suction cups may also be provided along the bottom of the curtain.

Why it's free to use

  • Filed October 17, 1989. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 17, 2009.
  • A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 17, 2011.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
