It is disclosed that a disaster prevention system for underground spaces has a compressed air supply system and an independent power generator installed in an underground space. In the event of a disaster, the compressed air supply system discharges compressed air into an underground space in order to maintain the air pressure therein at a higher level than that of the external atmosphere. The independent power generator generates electrical energy which provides the necessary lighting for the underground space. - 13 -

Why it's free to use
- Filed October 13, 1989. No grant is recorded for it in Canada; had it been granted, its 20-year term would have ended October 13, 2009.
- A certificate of supplementary protection adds at most two years for a drug, so even that would have ended by October 13, 2011.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
