Compounds useful in the treatment of epilepsy and other central nervous system disorders of the general formula: (see above formula), wherein R and R1, independently are lower alkyl, aryl lower, alkyl or phenyl unsubstituted or substituted with at least one electron withdrawing substituent or at least one electron donating substituent; , R2 and R3, independently are hydrogen, lower, alkyl, aryl lower alkyl or phenyl unsubstituted or, substituted with at least one electron withdrawing substituent or at least one electron donating substituent; n is 1 to 4; and, the pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
