Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method for treating a combustion exhaust gas from an incinerator or from a metal smelting furnace comprising, the steps of: supplying powdered slaked lime to a combustion exhaust gas containing at least some of sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, hydrogen chloride hydrogen, fluoride and dust; subsequently introducing at least one material selected from ammonia, ammonia solution or urea solution into the combustion exhaust gas; causing the combustion exhaust gas aupplied with powdered slaked lime and combined with at least one of those materials to pass through a catalyst filter, wherein catalyst particles which are made of titanium oxide and vanadium oxide or of titanium oxide, vanadium oxide …
