Abstract From the Canadian patent

The addition of water into a Fischer-Tropsch hydrocarbon synthesis reaction zone employing a catalyst comprising promoted or unpromoted cobalt supported on titania results in increased CO conversion and C5+ hydrocarbon production and a decrease in methane production. A preferred promoter is rhenium.
