Cephem compounds and processes for preparation thereof

Abstract From the Canadian patent

There are described compounds of the, formula (see fig. I), wherein R1 is amino or protected amino R2 is lower alkyl or lower alkenyl, R3 is lower alkyl hydroxy(lower)alkyl or, protected hydroxy(lower)alkyl R4 is amino, protected amino, lower alkylamino protected lower alkylamino, carboxy-(lower)alkylamino N-protected, carboxy(lower)alkylamino and R7 is hydrogen or lower alkyl, and, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Process for the preparation of these compounds pharmaceutical, composition comprising same as well as a method of, treating infectious diseases in human beings and animals using these compounds are also described.
