Abstract From the Canadian patent

A process for degrading and removing alkylene glycols e.g. ethylene glycol, from wastewater containing the same comprising treating the wastewater with a strain of Pseudomonas putida. It is particularly useful for treating airport deicing runoff containing ethylene glycol.
