As an adhesive used between a polypropylene layer and an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer layer there is provided, an adhesive composition that comprises 98.9 to 59.9 % by weight of a modified polypropylene (A) partly or fully grafted with an unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative 1.0 to 40 %, by weight of an ethylene/.alpha.-olefin copolymer (B) having a density of 0.915 to 0.940 g/cc, and a melting point of 115 to 130°C, and 0.1 % by weight or more but less than 3 % by weight of a hydrocarbon type synthetic elastomer (C).
