Abstract From the Canadian patent

PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF FUSED PYRIDINE COMPOUNDS ABSTRACT, 2-Amino-4-hydroxy-6-2-(4-carboxyphenyl)alk-1-en- 1-ylpyrido2,3,-dpyrimidines and 2-amino-4-hydroxy-6- 2-(4-carboxyphenyl)alk-1-yn-1-ylpyrido2,3-dpyrimidines are prepared through the reaction of a haloaromatic compound and an unsaturated compound in the presence of a palladium catalyst. The products are chemical intermediates for the preparation of antineoplastic agents. A typical embodiment is the reaction of a protected 2-amino-4-hydroxy-6-ethynylpyrido2,3-d pyrimidine and an ester of 4-iodobenzoic acid.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted September 27, 1994. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended September 27, 2011.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
