Abstract From the Canadian patent

Disclosed is a container for the storage in a controlled atmosphere of fresh produce (fruit, vegetables or flowers), that is constructed of substantially gas-impermeable walls having a gas-permeable panel that permits controlled flows of CO2 and O2 into and out of the container and a panel composed of cellophane that is permeable to moisture and substantially impermeable to the flow of O2 and CO2 to, enhance retention of freshness of the produce while controlling the moisture concentration in the container.
