A switch includes a movable member provided with a movable contact thereon and a substrate provided with fixed contacts thereon with which the movable contact contacts. The movable member is driven by an operating lever secured thereto to slide over the substrate so that the movable contact is shifted from one fixed contact to another. The switch comprises a first reference portion provided on the operating lever and a second reference portion provided on the substrate. The movable contact is accurately positioned on the substarate with respect to the fixed contacts when the first reference portion is positioned to align with the second reference portion.
