A composite sintered oxide resistor comprising crystal grains of zinc oxide and crystal grains of a zinc oxide compound of other metal or semi-metal element than zinc and a grain boundary layer having an electric resistance equal to or lower than that of the crystal grains of zinc oxide between the individual crystal grains of which has a very large withstanding capacity against switch surge a small non-linear coefficient of voltage in the voltagecurrent characteristics, a positive, smaller resistancetemperature coefficient, and a small percent change in resistivity after heat treatment at 500°C in the atmosphere.

Why it's free to use
- Granted May 17, 1994. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 17, 2011.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
