Abstract From the Canadian patent

The apparatus includes a car-supporting platform fitted with a power-operated lift for lifting the vehicle off the platform, so as to facilitate inserting clamps to secure the vehicle body to the platform. One or more L-shaped pulling arms are pivoted- to the platform frame for swinging movement around the vehicle body, so as to enable pulling on the latter in any horizontal orientation. In a preferred embodiment the platform, is made of two pivotable sections which can be folded against each other, and the apparatus is provided with wheels so that, the same, with the platform in folded position can be wheeled, about and stored in a minimum of space when not in use.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted May 10, 1994. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 10, 2011.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
