Abstract of the Disclosure, A precure tread for tire comprises surface grooves facing a tread face, rear grooves facing a crown portion of a base tire, and a means for communicating the rear grooves to an atmosphere. The tire durability can considerably be improved when this precure tread is applied to a new tire or a retreaded tire.
