Abstract From the Canadian patent

Thermoplastic molding compounds which have high cold impact strength are disclosed. The molding compounds are comprised of (i) a polyamide 1012 with a relative viscosity in the range of 1.5-3.0; and (ii) a plasticizer in the amount of 2-25 wt. based on the weight of the polyamide. The molding compounds enable manufacture of molded pieces. The plasticizer is for, example, a C2-12 alcohol ester of p-hydroxybenzoic acid or a C2-12 amine amide of arylsulfonic acid.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted November 30, 1993. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended November 30, 2010.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
