An information delivery system automatically delivers documents from a central information storage location to a facsimile machine positioned at a remote location in response to user requests that are automatically answered by the system. The information delivery system includes an extended memory for digitally storing image files of documents. A request processing module is arranged to automatically receive telephone requests for specific stored documents. The request module provides signals to prompt the caller to input the information necessary to deliver the selected documents.
