A substantially anhydrous propellant-containing antiperspirant product suitable for topical application to the skin comprises a finely divided powder antiperspirant agent which is normally insoluble in the liquid phase of the product, an anhydrous alcohol chosen from ethanol, isopropanol or mixtures thereof a, suspending agent in the form of a hydrophobically treated clay, a normally gaseous anhydrous propellant and optionally and emollient liquid which is less volatile than isopropanol and a normally liquid anhydrous propellant; provided that the weight ratio of the suspending agent to the anhydrous alcohol is from 2:1 to 1:2 to achieve maximum efficacy as measured by sweat weight …
