Abstract From the Canadian patent

A liquid food comprising polydextrose and oligosaccharides which are hard to digest and easy to ferment is provided. This liquid food has excellent effect for relieving constipation. The oligosaccharides preferably are those of the soybeam raffinose type or galactose type made from lactose. The liquid food preferably is a beverage.
