A rocking chair is composed of a pedestal pole a supporting, arm mounted at the top portion of the pedestal pole extending to the front upper side of the chair, a seat board which is hinged at the front end of the supporing arm with its front edge and, a concaved connecting board hinged to the rear edge of the seat board with its front edge of both sides thereof. A first spring is provided at the hinged portions of the seat board and the concaved connecting board for energizing the concaves connecting board upwardly.
