Abstract A method for analyzing data modeled by a sum of exponential terms by determining weighted moments of a characteristic independent variable and amplitude for such data. In a specific embodiment, weighted moments of time and intensity are determined from the data. Corresponding weighted moments of time and intensity are also determined for a model consisting of a sum of exponential terms. Corresponding weighted data moments and modeled moments of time are equated and corresponding weighted data moments and modeled moments of intensity are equated. The resulting set of equations is solved simultaneously for the values of the time and intensity parameters which appear in the model.

Why it's free to use
- Granted November 2, 1993. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended November 2, 2010.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
