Abstract From the Canadian patent

Bezafibrate, also known as 2-4-2-(4-chlorobenzamido)-ethyl-phenoxy-2-methylpropionic acid is, found to be useful for the treatment of normolipidaemic diabetes mellitus type II; medicaments are provided for combating normolipidaemic diabetes mellitus type II which contain bezafibrate.
