Abstract From the Canadian patent

Novel water soluble polymers containing an hydroxyl alkyl aminoalkylene phosphonate functionality are disclosed. These polymers have utility as deposit control agents effective in a number of water systems such as cooling, boilers conversion coating paper and pulp, processing and gas scrubbing. The polymers are formed from the polymerization of ethylenically unsaturated compounds with a compound having the structure: in which R1 is an hydroxyl substituted or nonsubstituted lower alkylene group, R2 is H or lower alkyl group, R3 is a lower alkylene group and M is H or water soluble cation.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted August 3, 1993. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended August 3, 2010.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
