The venous extensibility improving or cardiac hypertrophy suppressant agent is a dihydropyridine compound of the general formula: wherein R1 is a nitrophenyl group and R2 R3 and, R4 are each same or different lower alkyl group or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
