Abstract From the Canadian patent

Polyphenolic substances such as food dyes tannins, fruit juices and wine colourings are removed from a solution by adsorption onto a regeneratable adsorbent polyamide of extended surface and controlled porosity. The surface chemistry of the polyamide may be modified by a glutaraldehyde/resorcinol treatment. The polyphenolic substances are recovered by elution with water or other protonic solvent.

  • Granted May 25, 1993. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended May 25, 2010.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
