Abstract From the Canadian patent

The present invention concerns a method for manufacturing an electromagnetic shielding joint and a machine for carrying out this method. This machine comprises essentially one first die (1) for extruding a core (2) of an elastomeric material means permitting the core (2) to be coated by bands (3) of an electrically conductive textile material a die, (4) for calibrating the coated core a heating housing, (5) and means (6) for winding up the joint just manufactured. This machine permits manufacturing in a continuous manner a joint forming a barrier against the electromagnetic waves and useful for assemblies of mechanical parts of any kind.
