A gas collector electrode assembly that can be easily assembled and/or disassembled is disclosed. The bottom wall of the gas collector includes two apertures connected by an elongated slot. The first aperture is sized to receive the end of the spark electrode assembly and the second aperture is sized to grippingly engage a circumferential groove on the spark electrode assembly adjacent its end. A tab portion is provided in the bottom wall of the gas collector adjacent the second aperture therein.
