Polyurethane are provided which have a polymeric backbone including recurring urethane or urea groups or both and which are reaction products including macroglycols, diisocyanates, and preferably chain extending agents. The polyurethanes may take the form of poly(fluorosilicone urethanes) and include recurring organosilicone moieties from a fluoroalkylsiloxane reactant. When it is desired that these polyurethanes be capable of forming fibers in air, then the reactant charge should be such that the ratio of isocyanate equivalents to hydroxyl equivalents is less than 1.

Why it's free to use
- Granted April 6, 1993. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended April 6, 2010.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
