Abstract From the Canadian patent

A method of producing an emulsion polymer which comprises adding a polymerizable monomer to an emulsion polymer containing a high-molecular-weight compound having a weight average molecular weight of 20,000 to 2,000,000 as a seed polymer, the amount of the unsaturated monomer being 1.5 to 9.5 times the total volume of the solids in the emulsion polymer, and thereafter polymerizing the monomer in the presence of a filmforming aid.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted December 29, 1992. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended December 29, 2009.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
