Disclosed is a fiber-reinforced polymer composition containing a blend of (a) 50-70 weight % of a polyamide resin in a continuous matrix phase with (b) 30-50 weight % of a mixture of (i) a polyolefin having uniformly dispersed domain phases having an average size of 0.5-5 µm and (ii) an unsaturated carboxylic acid-modified polyolefin and (c) 5-50 parts by weight of glass fibers per 100 parts by weight of the total compositions. The molar ratio of end amino groups in the polyamide resins to carboxyl groups in the modified polyolefins is 10-1000. The composition may be produced by a double-screw extruder having a length/inner diameter (L/D) ratio of 25 or more and having a first hopper for …

Why it's free to use
- Granted November 24, 1992. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended November 24, 2009.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
