A composition comprising an ophthalmic drug and a polysiloxane of the formula I, in which the organic moieties R, R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7, are selected from the group consisting of alkyl and aralkyl, and mixtures thereof; the organic moieties may be the same or different, and n is a number selected to provide a viscosity of the polysiloxane of from 3-70 centistokes.
