Abstract From the Canadian patent

A crimping apparatus has at each crimp location, a pair of opposing crimping jaws which, when driven, closed, crimp a pin located between the jaws. The jaws are driven open and closed by a sliding drive member having two grooves therein, one on each side of the centerline joining the center of the closed jaws and the center of the drive member. The grooves are at an angle with respect to the line joining the center of the closed jaws and the center of the drive member.
