Coupling sleeve for connection of a branch pipe to a main pipe and a pipe provided with such a coupling sleeve. Described is a coupling sleeve (1) of which the insertion end (2) is fixed in an opening in a main pipe (4) in a sealing fashion by moving said insertion end (2) outwardly with simultaneous compression of sealing means (8). The sealing means (8) is compressed such that the resulting expansion thereof provides a seal between the insertion end (2) and the periphery of the opening in the main pipe (4).
