Abstract From the Canadian patent

An active material is disclosed comprising metal oxide/ hydroxide particles having chemically bonded to reactive sites on a surface thereof, a monolayer of a phosphorous-containing organic material comprised of a phosphorous-containing group and a carboncontaining group. The bond to the metal oxide/hydroxide surface is formed by reaction of the phosphorous-containing group with the metal oxide/hydroxide particle surface so that the carbon-, containing group of the material is oriented away from the metal oxide/hydroxide surface.

Why it's free to use

  • Granted September 15, 1992. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended September 15, 2009.
  • We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
