Abstract From the Canadian patent

A clathrate compound comprising a water-soluble microbicide and at least one of (a) a bisphenol compound represented by formula (I) and (b) deoxycholic acid represented by formula (II):, (a) bisphenol compound (I), where X is a halogen atom, and R is a methylene ethylidene, propylidene or isopropylidene group; (b) deoxycholic acid, (II), A water-soluble microbicide is mixed in a liquid containing a bisphenol compound or deoxycholic acid or, both, or a bisphenol compound or deoxycholic acid or both, are mixed in an aqueous solution of a water-soluble microbicide, whereby a solid reaction product is obtained and, it is separated from a liquid phase to yield a clathrate compound.
