The present invention relates to an apparatus for injecting a predetermined quantity of fluid additive into a primary fluid stream. The apparatus is comprised of an elongated cylinder having a bore formed therein. Opposed heads close opposite ends of the bore. A fluid inlet is provided along with a fluid discharge and fluid bypass passages which respectively communicate with the bore. Respective one-way valves are interposed in the passages for admitting additive fluid to the bore through the inlet passage and discharging additive fluid through the discharge and bypass passages respectively.
