of Disclosure, The invention concerns a procedure for lowering the carbamate content of products made from cellulose carbamate by treating, said products with basic solutions and products manufactured by, the procedure. The basic solution contains one or several alkali metal salts selected from the group: carbonates sulphates, phos-, phates, borates, and acetates.
