42-, Abstract of the Disclosure, A single step free ligand immunoassay based on the use of a labeled ligand or labeled ligand derivative which is substantially nonreactive with the natural binders present in the sample to be analyzed is improved through the inclusion in the assay of an amount of a blocking agent which is sufficient to prevent significant binding of the labeled ligand or labeled ligand derivative to various binding agents without causing significant release of bound ligand.

Why it's free to use
- Granted July 21, 1992. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended July 21, 2009.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
