An enhanced oil recovery process is described wherein oil is recovered from a depleted formation by the application of an inert gas or other non-wetting fluid to the formation. The gas carries oil droplets to coalesce and enter the producing well bore. A semipermeable membrane may be used to prevent the insert gas from entering the well bore.
