PROCESS FOR PRODUCING TETRAMIC ACID", ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A process is disclosed for the production of tetramic acid from the novel intermediate compound 4-, benzyloxy-3-pyrrolin-2-one, by subjecting said intermediate to catalytic hydrogenolysis.
