A digital engine analyzer receives analog input signals from an engine being analyzed and converts the analog signals into digital data signals for use in generating a display on a CRT screen of alphanumeric characters representing numerical values of the analog input signals and into waveform data signals for use in producing a display on the CRT screen of primary and secondary waveform patterns, the analyzer including a row counter which registers a count indicative of the row in which the electronic beam is sweeping at an instant of time and a comparator circuit which compares the state of the row counter with a reference signal and enables only the digital data signals to be applied to …
