The specification describes a scanning system in which a scene is scanned in an orthogonal pattern including linear scanning traces in one of the orthogonal directions which appear in succession on an imaging means and are scanned in the other orthogonal direction by a circular array of concave reflectors on a plane surface of a rotating scanning disc. The imaging means is positioned and the concave reflectors are configured so that radiation reflected from the strip mirror is focussed by the concave reflectors onto radiation detection means.

Why it's free to use
- Granted June 23, 1992. A Canadian patent filed before October 1, 1989 lasted 17 years from grant, so its term ended June 23, 2009.
- We check Canadian rights only. A patent in its family in another country could still be in force: check its family on Google Patents.
