The invention relates to the servicing of intercepts over a pended bus for transferring messages between multiple nodes in a computer system. An interrupt servicing node is adapted to be coupled to a pended bus for transferring messages between the interrupt servicing node and an interrupting node and, services an interrupt request message including ID data identifying the interrupting node.
